My name is Meg and I am a 5th year in the School of Religion. I am excited to announce that our very first union election for the executive board and stewards starts today! You will receive an email with an individualized link to your ballot with the subject line “UAW Local 872 May 2024 Triennial Elections”.
Note that you cannot share this link. Everyone has a personalized ballot link.
How the election will work: The election will run from now until tomorrow, 11:59 PM Tuesday, May 14th. The election will be determined by approval vote, meaning each candidate will have an individual option for your vote. For each candidate listed for each position, you will choose yes (+1), abstain (0), or no (-1). The candidate with the highest positive score in each position will win that election.
Who may vote: Anyone who is a dues-paying member of our union is allowed to vote. If you choose to become a member mid-election, you can vote. You can sign up to become a member here.
What if I did not get a ballot?: If you did not receive a ballot, the link does not work for you, or you became a member mid-election, you may request a ballot using this form. The deadline to request a ballot is Tuesday, May 14th by 12pm PST (noon).
