My name is Megan, and I’m a 5th year in the Chemistry department, also the interim Financial Secretary of our union. I’m reaching out to remind you about the first-ever Monthly Membership Meeting, where Graduate Student Workers (GSWs) will make plans for the semester ahead, discuss our union bylaws, and kick off two new committees. The time has been set for 11am this Thursday, RSVP here to attend and make sure you sign up for membership before the meeting!
I also want to provide more information and encourage you to exercise your right to full remission of all mandatory University fees. If you a) accidentally paid fees that you were erroneously charged, or b) if you still have fees showing up on your account, fill out this form.
Lastly, there are several upcoming union actions I want to invite you to. The Organizing Committee has officially kicked off the Spring 2024 series of the Know Your Rights training (RSVP here!). The KYR training is a one-hour training for Graduate Student Workers to learn more about our rights under our contract and walk away with the organizing tools we need for successful enforcement.
