My name is Dimple, and I’m a third year in the Physics department. I’m emailing you to invite you to the International Graduate Student Worker (GSW) “Know Your Rights” Town Hall this Friday, November 17th at 3pm in EEB 132 (RSVP here)

After an overwhelming 95.1% Strike Authorization Vote, and last Thursday’s “Last Chance Picket,” the Bargaining Team has set a strike deadline for November 28th, meaning that thousands of GSWs will walk off the job if USC administration doesn’t change their bargaining behavior.

Join your fellow GSWs at the “Know Your Rights” town hall this Friday to learn more about your rights and protections in preparation for a potential strike later this month. Graduate Student Workers are coming together to participate in a campus-wide discussion and engage with a panel of GSW organizers from across campus. A variety of topics will be covered, from strike guidelines to bargaining strategy.

With a strike deadline set for Tuesday, November 28th, it is imperative that all GSWs prepare strike contingency plans and get questions answered if USC administration ultimately refuses to give us a fair contract before a strike.

This is Our Fight. RSVP here to the town hall; let’s go win a great contract!

In solidarity,
Dimple
