My name is Maggie, I’m a PhD Candidate in Sociology and I’m the interim President of our union. I’m reaching out to pass along the latest draft of the Local Union bylaws, which have been updated after receiving a round of member feedback.
Amendments: Amendments to the bylaws will be deliberated and voted on during the Monthly Membership Meeting taking place at 5:30pm on February 29th. RSVP here to attend this hybrid meeting (location TBD and will be sent to RSVPs).
Each amendment should be submitted as a separate Google Document, with one amendment submission allotted per bylaws article. To submit an amendment:
- Make a copy of the current bylaws draft.
- Type in edits with tracked changes (feel free to only include the text you’re proposing to amend).
- Collect ten (10) member signatures at the bottom of the amendment.
- Email a link to the amendment to info@gswoc-usc.org by 12pm on February 23rd.
Ten (10) member signatures are required to submit an amendment, and amendments will not be considered at the MMM without ten signatures. No member shall submit more than one proposed amendment per bylaw article, but each proposed amendment may make an unlimited amount of changes to each article.
